Who is Armis?
Armis is the first agentless, enterprise-class security platform to address the new threat landscape of unmanaged and IoT devices.

What does that mean?

Well, they were the first company to really see the boom of IoT devices and the vulnerabilities they can pose.

If you can’t see what’s on your network, how can you protect it?

What is a Device Knowledgebase?

Armis needed to explain the Armis Device Knowldegebase and to position themselves as a visionary/technological leader in the new era of connected devices and to express the growing depth of unmanaged IoT device data that the Armis Device Knowledgebase gathers every second and differentiate its prowess by orders of magnitude from all competitors.

But to do this, a system had to be made, to visually explain the complexity and make it all make sense.

Through doing this, we expaned the reach of this system to be used and incorporated in many different forms, from explainers, social, website, white papers and OOH.

Final 90 Second Film

STORY ACTS

Act 1

Armis enables this new world through the Device Knowledgebase.
Through all the myriad of devices and profiles, the Device Knowledgebase can find your device profile through patterns/intelligence etc.

Act 2

No one has a Device Knowledgebase like Armis (scale and exponential depth).

Act 3

The Device Knowledgebase enables real-time and continuous agentless device security and is always getting smarter.

Act 4

The Armis Device Knowledgebase makes the promise of these new devices a reality.

Efficiency of Scale

We also set these up from the start to be modular and able to be cut down to 90, 30 and 15 second videos that could be specific to Industry verticals.

Nodes

Nodes exist in the Void representing the many potential device profiles. Without Nodes there would be nothing to discover, map, index, and organize; thus the Device Knowledgebase cannot exist without them.

There are potentially billions of different possible profiles that can exist at any one time thus there are billions of Nodes in the Void.

Nodes behave chaotically by default as they pop in and out of existence, fly around the Void, and collide with other Nodes. Some Nodes clump together to form Clusters, while others group in a hierarchy to form Matrices.

Strings

When a Node is discovered by the Device Knowledgebase it is connected by a String. Nodes on Strings are no longer potential profiles, but profiles that have been ingested into the Device Knowledgebase.

Strings are the foundation of the Device Knowledgebase and represent the outward mapping of Nodes. Strings do not necessarily represent network connections between devices but rather the path of discovery from profile to profile as they are indexed.

As Strings grow and branch into larger structures they form Trees.

Containers

As Strings extend from Node to Node throughout the Void the Device Knowledgebase begins the process of comparative association with Containers. Containers exist to encapsulate groups of similar nodes categorized by any number of attributes.

A Container may collect profiles of devices with the same manufacturer, or devices that are constantly pinging other devices over a network. This large range in scale means Containers frequently overlap or fall within others like a venn diagram.

Style Frames

We made a lot of beautiful imagery for this piece, here are a bunch of style frames.
