You + Me:
A year in the life of the Polyphonic Spree
Documentary Titles
Made at First Person
The Polyphonic Spree have always pushed the limits of creativity. Founded by Tim DeLaughter in the year 2000, TPS are a 20-piece rock, pop, choral, symphonic, folk music band.
I am a huge fan of the band and jumped at the chance to create the titles for their documentary, "You + Me: A year in the life of The Polyphonic Spree", video of their live show at Webster Hall and DVD menu. The project was fully funded through Kickstarter – funded by the fans, for the fans. TPS gave the 1P team pretty much free reign to create beautiful, funny, bright and story-driven designs that would connect with fans new and old.
With nods from recording Christmas albums in summer in Texas, to their Rock Horror Show performances in London, the titles conveyed the story of the band and how they got out of an artistic rut and brought the energy back, unified, and had a return to form over the year of 2012.
